Woke up late/early to the sound of rain/a cat screaming. It was evident pretty quickly that today was going to be a total wreck/disaster/nightmare. My breakfast/coffee/pet was not even edible. I tripped over nothing/the dog/a random object and spilled coffee on myself/knocked over my vase/broke my phone. Driving to work, I got stuck in the worst traffic jam ever. And to top it all off, my boss yelled at me/I realized I forgot my presentation/the office air conditioning broke. Honestly, this day was just a complete and utter mess.
